In 2018, the Talking Motanka was initially created to help me with my Ukrainian-language-learning progress. It has since evolved to include a podcast, blog, radio station, book club, and forum so that it could be interactive with others learning Ukrainian, or those who want to know more about their Ukrainian ancestry, in particular, the history about how the first Ukrainians settled in Canada.
